On September 18th, 2013, Prostate Cancer Canada, together with the TADA, was pleased to announce that Brad Deakin, of Burlington ON, was the winner of the Rock the Road Raffle for a 2013 Camaro ZL1. The charitable raffle has raised over $170,000 for prostate cancer research.
The exciting prize, a one-of-a-kind 2013 Camaro ZL1, was generously donated by TADA; because the car was a gift, 100% of the proceeds will be directed towards prostate cancer research.
“It’s important that we, as corporate leaders, give back to the communities we serve”, said Todd Bourgon, TADA’s Executive Director. “Prostate cancer is the most common cancer to affect Canadian men, and we wanted to do something about it. We’re thrilled to have helped raise over $170,000 for Prostate Cancer Canada.”
“TADA’s gift to Prostate Cancer Canada was more than a fundraising opportunity”, said Rocco Rossi, President & CEO of Prostate Cancer Canada. “The funds raised through the raffle will contribute to advancements in prostate cancer research. The raffle also raised the profile of the cause and provided us with the opportunity to talk to men about early detection. We’re encouraging men in their 40s to get a PSA test and establish their baseline.”
The 10,000 tickets available for the Rock the Road Raffle officially sold-out in early September, 2 weeks prior to the official draw date. For more information, please visit RocktheRoadRaffle.ca
