04/06/2016 St. Catharines Gives Red Light to New Car Tax in Unanimous Vote Momentum is growing in Niagara to stop the province of Ontario from granting municipalities the authority to charge a municipal vehicle tax. On April 4th, St. Catharines City Council endorsed a motion from the Region of Niagara and voted unanimously against a Vehicle Registration Tax. The Trillium Automobile Dealers Association applauds St. Catharines City Council for not supporting a new tax targeting the auto sector.
02/26/2016 Niagara Tells Province to Slam Brakes on New Car Tax in Unanimous Vote THOROLD – Ontario’s new car dealers applaud Niagara Regional Council for not supporting a new tax targeting the auto sector and Niagara residents. Last night, in a unanimous vote, Regional Council passed a motion telling the province that it does not support the implementation of a Vehicle Registration Tax in Niagara.

06/09/2015 Gardiner Expressway - Hybrid Option TORONTO – The Trillium Automobile Dealers Association (TADA) believes the “Hybrid Option” is the best solution for the future of the Gardiner Expressway’s eastern portion in order to ease traffic congestion and promote economic development. Rather than tearing down the eastern section of the Gardiner, the 'hybrid option' maintains the current traffic capacity and forms the only link between the QEW and the Don Valley Parkway – the only expressways to run through Toronto’s downtown core.
