From Horseless Carriages to Space Age Technology
The Toronto Automobile Dealers' Association (TADA) began in an era where the horse and buggy ruled cobblestone streets and primitive country roads. Today, its 340 member dealers in the Metropolitan Toronto area sell space-age technology.
For nine decades, TADA has been a working association, facing a range of issues from government taxation and safety to fair sales practices. Over nearly a century of boom and depression, peacetime prosperity and two great world wars, the Association has grown and changed with Canada itself.
Some issues, from safety to government regulation, have remained virtually the same. Throughout, there's been an unchanging commitment to create the highest possible industry standards. From its inception 100 years ago, TADA has championed sound consumer protection practices. Its members have offered automobiles reflecting the best of new designs, performance standards and technology. They have also had a strong involvement in the greater Toronto community
